Lucien Pillot (French, 1882-1973). "Besancon La Mouillere" color lithograph poster for PLM Railway, ca. 1930s. Printed by Gerin, Dijon-Paris. An original Art Deco French travel poster by Lucien Pillot for the PLM Railway. The scene features a mother and her two daughters at the famous Besancon La Mouillere Saline Cure Station for Women and Children. The scenery is captivating with a grand building in the middleground, mountains in the background, and a building atop a distant hill. The mother is dressed in a fashionable outfit, and the girls wear swimsuits of a style from the period.
