    A woodcut by Leona Pierce titled ‘London Bridge.’ Pierce was an American printmaker, painter, teacher, and textile artist born in 1921 and passed away in 2002. She is best known for her woodcuts depicting children at play. This particular piece features three children playing London Bridge. Dimensions are: framed 38 inches tall X 29 1/2 inches wide, 96.52 cm X 74.93 cm; sight size 31 inches tall X 23 1/2 inches wide, 78.74 cm X 59.69 cm. All measurements are approximate.

    Leona Pierce (California, New York, Connecticut 1921 - 2002) colored woodcut. Signed 'Leona Pierce' in pencil lower right. Titled 'Good Climbing' in pencil lower left. Measures 11-in. x 13-in. image size, 12-in. x 14.125-in. sheet size. In G-VG/VG+ condition, with tape residue upper edge middle, and all four corners. Unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective.
