The works offered here include two plates which carry the address for Nicolas Langlois, (1640-1703). Only one complete set of this series has been offered at auction, a 1703 edition with all plates carrying the Langlois printed address. Both the Chateau and the gardens at Chantilly were designed by Andre le Norte (1613 - 1700).(This lot is offered without reserve)

Die zwölf Monate. 12 Radierungen. Je ca. 9,5 x 15,7 cm. Le Blanc 49-60, Nagler 21. Wz. Bekröntes Wappen mit Posthorn. -- -- Die vollständige Folge in ganz ausgezeichneten, gegensatzreichen Drucken, mit leichtem Plattenton und gleichmäßigem Rand. Wohl frühe, in der Literatur nicht unterschiedene Druckzustände vor der Löschung der Adresse von Ferdinand und vor den Nummern auf dem ersten und dem letzten Blatt. Minimale Gebrauchsspuren, vereinzelt mit kleinen Fleckchen, durchgehend mit kleinen Wurmlöchern links im unteren weißen Rand sowie winzigen, kaum wahrnehmbaren Nadellöchlein in der oberen rechten Ecke der Darstellung, sonst in einheitlicher, sehr schöner Erhaltung. -- -- - Wir bitten darum, Zustandsberichte zu den Losen zu erfragen, da der Erhaltungszustand nur in Ausnahmefällen im Katalog angegeben ist. -- - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalogue.
