Jh., Kopfstele aus dunklem Hartholz, männliches Haupt mit leicht stilisierten Gesichtszügen und Kappe, auf späterem Sockel montiert, Altersspuren, alter Anobienbefall, H 45 cm. Provenienz: Sammlung P. Loebarth (1941-2015), Hameln; Bonham´s London (1992); Michael Pennie (1936-2019), Großbritannien; Wooley &Wallis, Großbritannien (2015), Sammlung Rainer Greschik, Berlin; Sammlung C.K., Brandenburg. Rare protective figure Bateba ti Bala, attributed to the Lobi ethnic group, Burkina Faso/Ghana/Côte d'Ivoire, probably 19th century, head stele of dark hardwood, male head with slightly stylised facial features and cap, mounted on a later base, traces of age, old anobia, h 45 cm.
