Franz Peffer Sold at Auction Prices

Artist: FRANZ A. PEFFER (1887-1937) Size: 27 1/2 x 37 1/8 in./70 x 94.2 cm R. Barnik, Berlin A giant has his own piece of the industrial puzzle in this poster asserting "Comrade: Your factory is your pride!" This fascinating work, printed in the midst of the Russian Civil War, was actually created in Berlin, by the German outpost of the Supreme Council of National Economy. A stamp identifies the poster as previously among the collections of the Hoover Institute at Stanford University. (Soviet)
