    William Patten, Jr. (British, died 1843), full-length portrait of dark-haired woman in white Empire gown, holding hands with child, exterior landscape, bench with cloak and hat beneath tree, wheelbarrow to right, signed lower right "W Patten Jr/1818," oil on canvas, 68 x 52 in., modern gold-painted frame with ribbon and bead borders. Uneven varnish, scattered light retouch to sky, woman's neck and wheelbarrow, small repaired tear upper left, lined, crackle.
