    Jacynth Parsons (English, 1911-1992). Group of four graphite on paper illustrations on two sheets depicting anthropomorphic animals, 1929. Each sheet with an illustration in the upper and lower half for a total of four separate scenes. One sheet with an initial and date in the lower margin of the drawings. One sheet with a scene depicting woodland critters bidding good luck to a bunny rabbit bride as well as a scene of an additional rabbit, possibly the groom, readying himself before the ceremony. The other sheet depicting a rabbit in a top hat left alone to his drinks, sitting on a toadstool, while the bridal party departs in the distance. The lower half of the sheet with a young girl holding a jump rope looking forlornly at a flower.

    Jacynth Parsons (1911 - 1992), Pen ink and watercolour, Original illustration , Fairy Queen and son, Signed under , comes via family, 7 x 8 1/4'', Daughter of Karl Parsons the famous Arts and Crafts Stained glass artist and Niece of Beatrice Parsons ( Watercolour Artist). She is particularly known for her remarkable Blakean Illustrations , at the age of 16 , for Songs of Innocence in 1927. she also illustrated works for W B Yeats and John Maserfield.

    *Parsons (Jacynth, 1911-1992). Helpers in the garden, 1931, pen, ink, and watercolour, showing a young girl wearing an apron and wellingtons planting flowers in a herbaceous border under a blossom tree in a walled garden, a trug on the path beside her, with a small boy in an embroidered smock holding a terracotta plant pot, and an older boy holding a spade and proferring a trowel, monogrammed and dated lower right, inscribed by the artist lower left 'Ted - With love from Jacynth. July. 1934.', 21 x 23cm (8.25 x 9ins), mounted, framed and glazed Jacynth Parsons was the daughter of stained glass designer and maker Karl Parsons, from whom she would have absorbed the visual language of the late Pre-Raphaelites. She received no formal art training, but showed early talent. In 1927 the Medici Society in London mounted an exhibition of her "pictures from the age of 3 to 16" which met with considerable success. She is known chiefly for her book illustrations, producing drawings for Gladys Forbes's 'The Enchanted Forest', among other publications. (1)
