Marnix de Paepe Art for Sale and Sold Prices

The idea to create the brand "MRNX" was born in 2010, when former photographer Marnix De Paepe decided to convert his 20 years of experience in commercial fashion & glamour photography into an artist career as "Luxury Fine Art Photographer".

Marnix born and raised in Ghent (Belgium) did some modelling at young age. More fascinated by what happened behind the camera, he became by passion a photographer himself. Very quickly he had the chance to work for notorious companies and magazines.

Even if Marnix remained thankful toward all the clients which has permit him to live from his passion and improve continuously his skills , the limitation of imposed assignments pushed him to experiment new horizons able to satisfy his biggest desire... "THE FREEDOM OF CREATION"

As for many artists, the pioneers of Fine Art photography influenced his work. The great "Helmut Newton" remaines his absolute spiritual father.

After 4 years of intense experiments with light and shadows Marnix finished his first collection in style and decided to fade out his commercial photographer carrier in order to focus exclusively on Luxury Fine Art Photography.

This fundamental change was marked by the creation of an adapted name, the symbol of his particular DNA, keeping the essential of beauty and trashing the superfluous of any commercial message. "MRNX" was born...
