The second of two Lots by Oppel in this sale. Note: All of the art from this interior design commission we have seen and have read about online including the works by Rey and Tolman also in this sale with the same type of labels indicate originals or fine art editions were purchased for the this Four Seasons project as opposed to open edition decor and we strongly believe this photographic print by Oppel is of the unique, small or limited edition fine art photography variety however these were consigned close to sale time and we have not not had the opportunity to reach out to Oppel, Grady or Williams if still active for more information and are selling the work as edition size unknown. Provenance: Deaccessioned by the Four Seasons Hotel Miami this summer during remodeling. In 2003 Joan Warren Grady of Annex Fine Art Consulting of San Diego, California oversaw the furnishing of the Brickell landmark Four Seasons Hotel Miami between South Beach and Wynwood with original artworks by contemporary artists with curatorial consulting by Edsel Williams. A budget of 3.5 million USD was spent on works by 35 artists including the 6 works by the 3 Miami based artists Tao Rey, Bruce Tolman and Martin Oppel offered individually in this sale. Other artists included Latin Americans Fernando Botero and Jesus Rafael Soto. Ref ArtDaily site. Each of the 6 Lots has an Annex Consulting Four Seasons label verso.
