Hayhurst, modern calf-backed marbled boards, small 4to, printed for William Crooke at the Green Dragon without Temple Bar, 1684. ⁂ One of the most popular and widely imitated of the accounts of piracy in the Americas. The lives of the buccaneers included in the work were liberally embellished to such an extent that Captain Morgan, one of the most notorious of those featured, successfully sued for slander and was awarded £200.
