Mixed media on paper Provenance Ce dessin a été offert par l’artiste au père du propriétaire actuel TARO OKAMOTO (1911-1996) Né en 1911 à Kawasaki. Il fit ses études à Paris, où il rencontra, entre autres, Pablo Picasso, Marcel Mauss et André Breton. Ses peintures et sculptures sont définies comme abstraites et avant-gardes. À la suite de son expérience en France, il réalisa plusieurs œuvres d’art majeures après-guerre. Son œuvre la plus connue au Japon est la Tour du Soleil, totem symbole de l’exposition universelle d’Osaka en 1970.
