The author of this scene brings a total protagonism to the magnificence of the landscape, which is reflected not only in the dimensions of the elements of nature, but also in the treatment of the sea water that captures the golden light that illuminates the whole scene. With a broad and doughy brushstroke, he applies a palette rich in greens, grays and especially white. The painter captures in this marine with his technique and rich chromatism, the strength of Nature, Painter and restorer of stained glass, his specialty was seascapes. He became the head of a whole generation of Malaga painters dedicated to marine painting, among whom Guillermo Gómez Gil and Ricardo Verdugo Landi stood out. He began his training at the School of Fine Arts in Malaga, and later continued at the San Fernando School in Madrid, where he was a disciple of Carlos de Haes. The Provincial Council of Malaga granted him a scholarship to study in The Hague, where he completed his training with the Belgian painter Cleiss. He participated in a multitude of national and international exhibitions, and among his awards are the third medal in the National Exhibition of 1871 and the prize in the Universal Exhibition of Vienna in 1872. He received the Grand Cross of Isabel the Catholic and the Cross of Christ of Portugal, and was professor and professor of the School of Fine Arts of Malaga, as well as a member of the board of the museum of the city. Works by Emilio Ocon are kept in the Prado Museum, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and the Fine Arts Museums of Cordoba and Malaga.

Landscape scene in which the author portrays a group of fishermen who have arrived to the beach and remain on the shore of a serene and calm sea where several sailing boats can be seen. However, it should be noted that despite the presence of these elements, the artist gives greater prominence to the magnificence of the landscape, which is reflected not only in the dimensions, but also in the treatment of the sea water, which captures the golden light that illuminates the entire scene.
