Juan Eugenio Ochoa Sold at Auction Prices

Born in Medellin, Colombia in 1983, Juan Eugenio Ochoa first graduated from Medical School and continued his studies in Cardiology in Milan. Around 2011, he started showing an interest for the art world and attended the department of Visual Arts at Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. After many solo shows in galleries, museums and art fairs, such as the Venice Biennale in 2015 and numerous awards, the artist became a well-known contemporary art figure focused on the properties of color and compositional structures. Much inspired by scientific implications of perception, from geometric Constructivism to Aniconic Art, he focused on historic researches of perceptive and developed an interest on the transparency of colors in relation to the structural aspect of forms. With an abstract style, yet a certain figurative rigor in his oeuvre, Juan Eugenio Ochoa presents variations of lights on two-dimensional surfaces.
