      Est: -

technique: oil on cardboard | 29 x 36.5 cm | signature: bottom right | framed Lot description Jan Nowopacky was an important Czech landscape painter of the 19th century, who became famous for his ability to capture nature with a fine sense of detail and atmosphere. This painting, entitled "Rocky Landscape with a Stream", is a typical example of his careful and realistic work with the landscape. The picture is dominated by a detailed representation of the rocky terrain through which a small stream flows. Here, Novopacky skilfully captures the textures and structures of stones, vegetation and water, thereby creating the impression of a real natural environment. The muted color palette gives the piece a melancholic and peaceful atmosphere that is typical of his landscape works. This painting is an example of Novopacky's ability to combine realistic elements with a lyrical atmosphere, which contributed to the development of Czech landscape painting in the 19th century. His works, including this one, exude a deep respect for nature and its understated beauty.

      JAN NOWOPACKÝ 1821 - 1908 - ITALIAN LANDSCAPE

      Est: -

Jan Nowopacký traveled widely in Germany, Austria and the south of Europe. He was one of the outstanding landscape painters, and from the same year we know, for example, a watercolor of a similarly composed landscape, but probably from a different angle, which is now in the collections of the Moravian Gallery. Romantic vistas of the water surface were among his often depicted situations. From 1851 he was employed by the counts of Hoyos in Lower Austria. These jobs provided him material security and enabled him to travel mainly in central Italy and Campania. Technique: oil on cardboard, Signed: sign. lower right: Jan Nowopacký 1852 č.14

      Nowopacky Jan ( Czech / Bohemian, 1821-1908 ) - Landscape

      Est: -

Nowopacky Jan ( Czech / Bohemian, 1821-1908 ) Landscape oil on canvas 26 x 33 cm Nowopacký Jan Krajina s ovcemi olej na plátně 26 x 33 cm signatura: vpravo dole rám: rámováno Provenience: MUDr.
