Later silver print, stamped with copyright stamp 'Studio Nico Koster Art & Projects' and signed in felt pen (lower right under the image), image size 29.5 x 20 cm., paper size 42 x 29.5 cm. Mint condition. Historic photograph depicting the famous Bed-in for Peace of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, which took place from 25th to 31st March 1969 at the Amsterdam Hilton. Shortly after their marriage, the couple came to Amsterdam to spend the last week of their honeymoon in the bed of room 902, the presidential suite - a symbolic gesture of protest against the Vietnam war and support for world peace. Journalists were welcome and Nico Koster, at that time a photo-journalist for De Telegraaf, stayed with them for the whole week and created a unique series of strong and intimate pictures of John Lennon and Yoko Ono during their legendary performance. In 1969 only one photograph was published and the negatives of the series were lost for nearly forty years. His daughter Nicole discovered them among her childhood drawings in 2009 and then the prints of the shoot were revealed and exhibited for the first time. This photo was the only one published in De Telegraaf in 1969.

Mint condition. Historic photograph depicting the famous Bed-in for Peace of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, which took place from 25th to 31st March 1969 at the Amsterdam Hilton. Shortly after their marriage, the couple came to Amsterdam to spend the last week of their honeymoon in the bed of room 902, the presidential suite - a symbolic gesture of protest against the Vietnam war and support for world peace. Journalists were welcome and Nico Koster, at that time a photo-journalist for De Telegraaf, stayed with them for the whole week and created a unique series of strong and intimate pictures of John Lennon and Yoko Ono during their legendary performance. In 1969 only one photograph was published and the negatives of the series were lost for nearly forty years. His daughter Nicole discovered them among her childhood drawings in 2009 and then the prints of the shoot were revealed and exhibited for the first time.

Other journalists were welcome to visit the room but Nico Koster, at the time a young photo-correspondent of Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, stayed and was able to creat a unique series of strong and intimate pictures of John Lennon and Yoko Ono during the whole performance, of which in 1969 only one photo was published. The negatives were lost for nearly forty years, were found by his daughter Nicole among her childhood drawings, so the complete series were printed and exhibited for the first time in 2009.
