    Nenci, Francesco: Liebesszene aus der antiken Mythologie Liebesszene aus der antiken Mythologie. Pinsel in Grau über Bleistift. 21,6 x 27,9 cm. Signiert, betitelt und datiert "Nenci 1837, Siena". Seine Ausbildung erhielt Nenci an der Akademie in Florenz, und wurde später auch Mitglied der Accademia di San Luca in Rom. Zu seinen Hauptwerken zählen Fresken im Palazzo Pitti sowie der Villa Poggio Imperiale bei Florenz. Daneben illustierte er auch eine 1821 erschienene Danteausgabe. Das vorliegende Blatt illustriert mit seiner zarten, einfühlsamen Lavierung und Linienführung vorzüglich Nencis neoklassizistische Auffassung, bei der er sich vor allem an Thorvaldsen orientierte.
