        W.H. MOSS & SONS VICTORIAN WRITING SLOPE

        DESCRIPTION: A Victorian wooden inlaid writing slope. The top is inlaid with mosaic mother of pearl, enveloped by wood marquetry scrolled rococo floral motifs. Opens to reveal a blue velvet writing platform at a 45 degree angle, topped by two inkwells, a pull drawer, and pen compartment. The top half of the blue velvet reveals a hidden compartment underneath. Stickered: "W.H. Moss & Sons Account Book Makers Commercial Printers & Fancy Stationers Whitehaven". CIRCA: Early 20th Ct. ORIGIN:England DIMENSIONS:(Closed) H:4.75" L:13" W:10" (Open) H:7.5" L:13" W:17" CONDITION: Good condition, minor age appropriate wear, key is missing.
