In the lower centre there is a blind stamp with the initials "FM". Inscribed by another hand in pencil lower right. Date: 19th century Description: After a model by Anton Sminck Pitloo (c. 1790 Arnhem - 1837 Naples). Picturesque view of the tunnel under the Posillipo between the Fuorigrotta district and the western part of the city of Naples, built by the Romans already in the 1st century BC. On the roadway a woman with a child as well as a cart and other passers-by are depicted. From the series Ricordi di Napoli e del Regno | Classe I. Divisione I.No. Keywords: 19th century, Romanticism, Landscapes, Italy, Size: 20,0 cm x 13,0 cm, Depiction: 15,8 cm x 10,7 cm Condition: Very good Condition. Pale foxing is visible in isolated places. There are faint signs of creasing and bumping along the lower edge of the sheet.
