R. M. S. in Capodimonte." Below the image in the plate left signed: "Appo F. Morghen.", lower inscribed Condition: Somewhat browned and stained, especially towards the margins, vertical box pleat centrally, above centre between the two depictions of the tazza, as well as left and right below and left margin somewhat stained, upper left corner somewhat creased, slight creases in the corners overall, slight creases at the margins, upper margin frayed with some smaller creases and minimal tears, small greyish stain at upper centre, somewhat duststained. Description: The depiction shows the front and rear view of the famous 'Tazza Farnese', dated to the first half of the second century BC, a cameo made of sardonyx, a variety of onyx with brown-white banding, now kept in the National Archaeological Museum in Naples. On the inside, Egyptian deities are depicted next to a sphinx, while the back is decorated with a head of a Medusa (gorgoneion). Condition: Somewhat light-margined and browned, faintly stained, slightly soiled, old mountings somewhat showing through in the four corners, slightly dust-stained, brownish spot at lower left, margins somewhat more browned in places, numerous pinholes along upper margin, smaller tear at upper left, slight creases at upper margin and corners, as well as at lower left and right along margin, margins overall somewhat wavy, smoothed vertical centrefold, slight vertical box pleats at top, bottom and centre. Description: The depiction of the temple in Paestum is entitled "Altra veduta interiore del tempio esastilo ipetro dalla parte di ponente" and shows an interior view of the temple of Athena, a hexaethral temple. This is the fifth sheet of the series "Le Antichità di Pozzuoli, Baja e Cuma", which was published in Naples from the late 1960s onwards. The view shows a snapshot of everyday life in the temples of Paestum at that time: groups of tourists with their guides are milling around in the ancient remains, some of which are overgrown; at the top left, on one of the architraves, a person is surveying the ruins; at the back right, two workers are placing a ladder on one of the pillars.
