Shirley Morgan Sold at Auction Prices

Shirley Morgan was born, raised and educated in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and developed an early interest in art. After graduation, Shirley met and married her husband, a professional baseball player. In the many years of travel in the states and Europe, Shirley was afforded many opportunities to study art from many wonderful instructors. Some of these years were spent in Italy. Shirley chose El Paso, Texas as her home in 1973. Shortly there-after Shirley became a member of Las artistas. All the while taking advantage of many workshops and instruction. Shirley had for many years been working in oil impaso, then she met Ann Massey, who taught her a love of realism and the colored pencil technique. Eventually Shirely discovered the art of pastels, of which she has a strong love and respect. Shirley became a charter member of the Pastel Society of El Paso and served as President in 2006 - 2007. Shirley has received art awards here in El Paso as well as abroad. Shirley's art has been collected around the world privately and corporately. Shirley's objective is to remain open to new ideas, techniques and mediums. all the while remaining true to herself.

After graduation, I met and married my husband, a professional baseball player. In the many years of travel in the states and Europe, I was afforded many opportunities to study art from many wonderful instructors. Some of these years were spent in Italy. We chose El Paso, Texas as our home in 1973. Shortly there-after I became a member of Las artistas. All the while taking advantage of many workshops and instruction. I had for many years been working in oil impaso, then I met Ann Massey, who taught me a love of realism and the colored pencil technique. Eventually I discovered the art of pastels, of which I have a strong love and respect. I became a charter member of the Pastel Society of El Paso and served as President in 2006 - 2007.
