      Miguel Montaner (Spanish, 1860-1940), "Capriccio Landscape with Brilliant Sky", oil on artist's board, signed lower right "Miguel Montanero". Horizontally oriented figural landscape painting depicting lakeside capriccio scene, likely Mediterranean, with women doing wash at the banks of the still waters, with fishermen casting a small net and a man on horseback leading another horse through the shallow water, the far shores with Italiantate style buildings and arched bridge with crossing figures, with cumulous clouds in brilliant blue sky overhead. Framed approximately 11" x 13". Unframed approximately 5.9" x 7.8". Provenance: From the Estate of Channing S. Jun, M.D., Eastman, Georgia.
