      Marcello Minotto (Venice, 13 September 1906 - Milan, 12 January 1998) was an Italian sculptor, goldsmith, designer, painter, silversmith and embosser. From the post-war period to 1980 he collaborated with Mario Buccellati, producing jewellery and sculptures. His works include the 40-kilo silver centrepiece with marine subjects taken from mythology, a gift from the Italian government to the Shah of Persia on the occasion of his marriage to Fawzia, sister of Fārūq I of Egypt in 1939, and the jewellery and embossed silver plates created for King Faruq in 1951, for the Royal Family of Italy and other important personalities. Hallmarked "800" and signed "Minotto" Height x width x depth: 6 x 13 x 8 cm. Weight 275 g. Item condition grading: **** good.
