The Delta Portfolio included 12 prints from Minick's project in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, California, between 1966-69. The edition was 100; this is apparently number 22. The Delta Portfolio, consisting of twelve gelatin silver prints, represents Minick's best images from a project in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, CA between 1966-69, starting when Minick was just 22 years old. Minick continues in the line of Walker Evans and Dorothea Lange documenting rural scenes in the backyard of the metropolis. With the advent of California Forever this landscape may see rapid change similar to that documented by Dorothea Lange and Pirkle Jones in their Aperture photobook Death of a Valley.       ROGER MINICK, “OZARKS OF ARKANSAS” ca. 1970 9 ½ x 11 ½ inch image on an 11 x 14 inch sheet. A horse and wagon are behind a standing girl. Minick published a book “Hills of Home” (1973) with photographs of the Ozarks. He is most known for “Sightseers,” a book of photographs of tourists in the National Parks. There is a short unobtrusive bend in the lower margin, otherwise the print is fine.
