      J. H. Miller Unmarked Stoneware Pan with Cobalt

      Est: -

      J. H. Miller unmarked salt glaze stoneware pan with cobalt blue decorated stem of blossoms filling either space below and between the blue covered handles. One ½” x 1/4 “ chip to the rim, evidently dropped, resulting in almost 1/2 of the bottom with a 2“ x 6“ side element detaching from the from the main vessel. This element is apparently tightly glued, presumably with epoxy, to the main vessel. Now sound to the thump but two tiny divots were lost during the competent glue job. Brandenburg, Ky. origin. 12 “ x 12 “ across the handles. Mid 19th century.
