Limited Edition Serigraph - Signed and Numbered - Excellent Condition Hand Signed in lower right by Bezalel Schatz - Edition Number: 119/200 Henry Valentine Miller (December 26, 1891 - June 7, 1980) was an American writer. He was known for breaking with existing literary forms, developing a new sort of semi-autobiographical novel. In addition to his literary abilities, Miller produced numerous watercolor paintings and wrote books on this field. It is estimated that Miller painted 2,000 watercolors during his life. It is signed and numbered by Bezalel Schatz. Henry Miller met the Palestine-born Jewish painter Bezalel Schatz in December 1945, at a birthday party held in Miller's honor in Big Sur, California. Miller and Schatz became great friends and collaborated on an art book. When, in 1952, Henry married Eve McClure - the sister of Schatz's wife Louise - they also became brothers-in-law. Professionally framed and matted 25 x 20 inches (approx.)
