    Hirst Milhollen (American) 1906-1970, etchings and Christmas card. They measure 5.5 x 4.25 inches to 4.5 x 6.5 inches (plate size). Mixed condition, mostly excellent, with one scarce etching trimmed. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging. Photos may also act as a condition report. Please review all photos closely prior to bidding and ask further questions if so desired. Our in-house shipping department will gladly pack and ship any item that fits into a 14x14x14 inch or 30x5x24 inch or equivalent or smaller box/folio if it is not fragile or over 25lbs. We will charge for labor to pack and process based on actual time it takes, actual cost of materials used to pack and actual shipper charges that will include insurance and signature required. We generally use USPS and Fed Ex and compare the pricing between the two. Books maximum box size will be 14x14x14 inch or equivalent and will be shipped USPS Media Mail unless otherwise requested. We gladly will give shipping estimates prior to auction. Please make this request at least 24 hours prior to auction for our shipping department to respond. If your invoice is for multiple items, we will use our discretion on requiring the use of an outside shipper. We reserve the right to require an outside shipper on any item(s) in the auction even if not stated.

    Hirst Milhollen (American) 1906-1970, "Etchings of Mexico," 1936, Contains 18 etchings, each pencil signed by Milhollen and titled in lower margin, usually with the limitation “Ed/50”. Image dimensions vary. Sheets 13 x 10 1/4 in. Original green, red, and cream-colored clamshell case, with light soil. Most plates’ white areas foxed mildly, some more significantly. Some have light toning to white areas. Images very good to near fine. Includes: "In the Park Cuernavaca, Mexico." "Borda Gardens, Cuernavaca, Mexico." 3 etchings, "Street in Taxco, Mexico." 2 "Market Scenes in Taxco", etc. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging. They are titled "The Fountain, Tasco, Mexico" and "The Little Corner, Mexico City," c. 1940. Both are titled and numbered "ED/50" in pencil along the lower left, and signed in pencil along the lower right. (Fountain) Sight; height: 6 5/8 in x width: 8 in. Title 'Tamazunchales, Mexico' in pencil lower left and in plate lower right. Number 'EP/100' in pencil lower left. Measures 8.875-in. x 6.75-in. sheet size. Measures 8.375-in. x 6.125-in. for image window cut in mat. Image in VG/EX condition. Unframed, with custom mat (11-in. x 14-in.) or mats from archival materials. All matted prints are either hinge mounted or secured with mylar corners. None are glued to mat. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective.
