Born: Denver, Colorado July 10, 1941. Lifelong passion for the fine arts. He has been drawing, painting and sculpting from an early age. Studied at the University of Colorado on a part-time basis from 1960-64. Enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1965 and served in intelligence for the Army Security Agency with distinction before being honorably discharged in 1969. After returning to Denver to raise his three sons, he returned to the University of Colorado and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1975 with a major in fine arts and a minor in anthropology followed by a Master of Arts in Landscape Architecture in 1980. A 25 year career as a landscape architect for the National Park Service took him to many regions of the continental United States to design and sculpt the features of America's national parks. He received numerous awards for excellence and innovative processes and techniques that both enhanced and preserved the beauty of the landscapes. After retirement from the Park Service and eventually moving to the Low Country of Charleston, S. C. in 2011, a renewed period of artistic production began. Many of his paintings can be found in private collections in the U.S. and Europe.
