          Boudoir mit blauem Paravent. -- Gouache über schwarzer Kreide auf Karton. 40,5 x 31 cm. Unten links signiert und datiert "F. Michl 1921". -- -- Ferdinand Michl erhielt seine erste Unterweisung in der Malerei an der Prager Kunstakademie bei M. Pirner und F. Thiele, bevor er seine Studien in München bei J. Herterich fortsetzte und seine Ausbildung schließlich mit einem Aufenthalt in Italien abrundete. Von 1906-1922 war Michl Mitglied des Hagenbundes, ab 1922 des Österreichischen Künstlerhauses. Ein Aufenthalt in Paris von 1904-1909 brachte ihn mit der französischen Kunst in Berührung, deren Einfluss auch in seinen späteren Werken immer spürbar bleibt, so auch bei vorliegender Gouache aus dem Jahr 1921.
