The hand-painted ceramic shows a smoking Afro-American sitting on the floor. He is dressed in noble clothing with a cylinder and a neckchief in an Ascot knot. The Wild West was a respected theme in the 19th Century! Some repairs on the right foot and the brim of the hat. Marked on the underside with the maker’s mark “JM” and the numbering “6798”. The dimensions are 14 x 9 x 13.5 cm (length x width x height).
