      Siegreicher Kaiser 160 x 80 x 70 cm. Signiert und datiert „G. Menozzi, 1925“. Gießerstempel der Fonderia Emilio Canziani Pistoia. Bronze, gegossen, dunkel patiniert. Quadratische Basis mit darüber liegenden Tuniken und von einer auf dem Boden kauernden geharnischten Figur über die Kante ragendem Fuß. Über der Figur die stehende mit emporgerichtetem Blick bedachte Figur eines Imperators mit geharnischter Brust und durch Agraffen gehaltene Tunika.       MENOZZI, GIUSEPPE 1895 Castel d'Ario - 1976 Mantua Pastoral. 1925. Bronze. Height: 130cm. Signed and dated in the base: G. Menozzi 1925. Foundry mark: Fonderia Artistica in Bronzo Emilio Canziani Pistoia. Certificate: Armando Audoli, Mantua, undated. The pastoral group which was first cast in bronze in 1925 was reworked in marble and put up next to the statue of Virgil in Mantua only shortly afterwards. The city of Mantua ordered this memorial group in honor of its famous son, the poet Virgil. In 1927 the monumental ensemble of the two sculptors, Emilio Quadrelli (1863-1925) and Giuseppe Menozzi, was exposed in the garden of the Piazza Virgiliana. Cf.
