        DESCRIPTION: Pierre Menager (French/American, 1894-1973). Group of five woodcuts of New Orleans on beige recycled folded paper. Circa 1950's-'60's. Each signed, lower right and titled, lower left. Includes: Piere L'afuittes Forge N.O., Madame John's Legacy-French Quarter N.O, Pirate's Alley N.O., Old Trench Market N.O., and St. Peters Cathedral N.O. Folded papers used as a letter written by Pierre Menager and addressed to Glad, but some pages are not present. Three prints on folded paper with text on adjoining page and two prints on a single sheet of paper that is unfolded. Menager was born in Nantes, France and moved to the United States, frequently moving from place to place. He lived in New Orleans in the 1950's and '60's. MEASUREMENTS: Each print approximately 5-1/2" x 8". Each paper size approximately 7" x 9". CONDITION: 1-1/2" tear on edge of each paper.
