    titled "Facade, aka Goodbye Marc, the Funeral". Edward Melcarth was born in Kentucky in 1914 but his major associations are with New York City and Italy. New York City is where he lived the longest and where many of his models were from. He moved to Italy permanently in 1969. He passed away of cancer in 1973 in Venice. Most of his works were purchased by Malcolm Forbes and his son. Many of his works are displayed in the Forbes Magazine Collection and Forbes Gallery in New York. He is best known as an illustrator, sculptor and portrait painter. His works can be seen in the Fine Arts Museum in Boston, and the Georgia Museum of Art. Site: 40"H x 50"W, Circa - 20th C.
