Simon Mee Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Simon Mee currently resides in Toowoomba. He is both artist and curator and lecturer for the University of Southern Queensland. In 2010 he participated and curated "Nobody Knows"�, Anne Wallace, Simon Mee and Rob McHaffie, July 17 to August 15 2010, at the Gold Coast City Gallery and was one of the judges the Redlands Art Award. His work is regularly seen in competition and in 2011 he will tour his work as one of the selected artists from the 2010, Queensland Regional Art Awards, Flying Arts, Qld. In 2010 he also was selected as part ofRick Amor Drawing Prize, Ballarat City Gallery, Victoria, Marie Ellis Drawing Prize, Jugglers Arts Space, Qld, Stanthorpe Art Prize, Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery, Qld, and the 2010 Northern Rivers Portrait Prize, Lismore Regional Art Gallery, NSW. In 2009 he exhibited; "The Triumph of Adversity"� at Linden Contemporary Art Space, St Kilda, Melbourne and "The Wallpaper Project"�, a joint partnership with William Wilding, a featuring range of seven artist wallpapers and a touring exhibition. He was a recipient of a Queensland Creative Fellowship in 2004, resulting in the solo exhbition "The Suburban Suite"� shown at QUT Art Museum in 2006. Simon completed a BA, Visual Arts, in1993 and Master of Fine Arts, Visual Arts, in 1999, through Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and is currently undertaking a PhD in Art and Design through Monash University. Simon Has also been the recipient of Product Development Grant, from Arts Queensland and a new works Grant from Australia Council. He has alsopreviously won Overall Prize, Churchie Emerging Art Exhibition2001, works on paper prize, Churchy Art Prize, 1998, and Overall Prize, Logan Art Award.
