Todd McKie is a contemporary fine artist whose paintings, prints, drawings and sculpture are funny and colorful. His work, influenced by folk art and primitive art, has been exhibited in museums and galleries in the United States and Europe. Todd McKie’s work is among the most instantly recognized and thoroughly loved art produced in Boston over the past three decades. Having reduced his compositional operation to a few key elements, he nevertheless manages to summon a complete range of contemporary life’s pleasures and travails as perceived by a bemused participant.
