Ornamental flourishes, pictogram-like figural depictions and other stylized forms are to found in this color screenprint by the American artist Ryan McGuinness. It belongs to a series of 100 prints, each recombining the forms in different colors, so each copy is a unique variant. Condition: The print shows technique-related a tiny pin hole in each corner and is mounted on support at several spots on the reverse. It is overall in very good condition. The frame is in good condition with slight signs of wear. The subject measures 82.2 x 50 cm, the sheet 101.7 x 67 cm. The framed dimensions are 111 x 76.5 cm. Ryan McGuinness (born 1972) The American artist Ryan McGuinness was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He studied at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and completed an internship as a curatorial assistant at the city's Andy Warhol Museum. McGuinness now lives and works in New York. In his paintings, sculptures and environments he creates an individual expression through the use of objective, universal symbols and signs. His works, which were shown at numerous international exhibitions, are as well enclosed in the collections of major museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York or the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo.
