Provenance Exhibited: Literature: Notes: Michael McGuinness Studied at Slade School of Fine Art, London 1977 - 79. McGuinness then became a lecturer, first in the National College of Art & Design, Dublin from 1979 to 1980 then moving to Belfast where he taught at the University of Ulster before taking up a part time teaching post in London in 1989. His work is figurative and landscape-based, much of it based upon visits to the Limavady and Portstewart area but also influenced by visits to Italy, France and Holland. Solo exhibitions have included One Oxford Street Gallery, Belfast, Flowerfield Arts Centre, Portstewart and Gallery 47, London. His work has also been shown at the Whitechapel Open Exhibition, London, the William Morris Gallery, London and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
