En 2015 tuvo una muestra individual en The Arts Club, Londres; otra en Fundazione 107 y una más en Luce Gallery en Turín, Italia. En colectivas participó en ARNDT Singapore Gallery, en Papillion en Los Ángeles, California, y en Art Basel en Miami, Florida. Su obra se ubica en distintas colecciones internacionales como las de National Museum of African American History and Culture, The Joyner Giuffrida Collection of Abstract Art, The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse, entre otras. El diseño industrial es la premisa de este creador, alejado de las formas académicas, es considerado como uno de los artistas contemporáneos más prolíficos. Hugo McCloud transgrede los límites creativos convencionales a partir de materiales como polietileno, alquitrán y aluminio, el uso de herramientas industriales, así como gruesas capas de óleo sobre madera.
