    A woodblock print on paper, reproduction of a folding screen art piece Matsuura Byobu, dated 1650 and attributed to Iwasa Matabei, 1578-1650, Japanese artist of the early Tokugawa period who specialized in genre scenes of historical events and illustrations of classical Chinese and Japanese literature. The print represents one of the sides of six fold screens depicting ten Japanese women spending their free time. Golden background. Subdued ornamented mat. Presented in a bamboo design frame.
