The chairs are mostly decentralized and cropped by the edge of the canvas. In these works, El Mastri creates a tension between linearity and dimensionality on the one hand, and explores different colors, patterns and textures on the other. The play with the perspectives and the non-visible (the chair) is supposed to arouse a different perception and new associations for the viewer. Condition The work is in very good condition, showing only the faintest framing marks. The dimensions are 150 x 120 cm. Walid El Masri (born 1979) As son of a Lebanese family, the artist Walid El Masri was born in 1979 in Damascus, Syria. He studied the art of mosaic and painting with Marwan Kassab Bachi at the Summer Academy at Darat Al-Funun in Jordan. He then graduated from a bachelor's degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Damascus. El Masri has exhibited internationally in galleries and art fairs. He lives and works in Paris.
