Measurements: 50 x 60 cm. The gallery Tonari no Zíngaro, also known as "Murakami store", is an artistic space in the city of Tokyo, founded by Murakami. Iwamoto Masakazu completed his studies at the Sokei Art School in Tokyo in 1996. He is known for his anime-style figures that he presents in drawings, sculptures, prints and paintings. His artistic production refers to the Otaku culture that emerged in the 1970s and consisted mainly of male followers fascinated by manga comics, anime animation, science fiction literature and video games. His works have already been exhibited at the Musée d'Art Contemporain in Lyon and were also included in the exhibition 'Little Boy: The Arts of Japan's Exploding Subculture' organized by the Japan Society in New York in 2005.

His works are deeply inspired by anime-style characters and sometimes surprise by shocking details. Condition: The surface of the sculpture is slightly affected by traces of blue paint, especially around the neck.The work however is in good overall condition. The diameter of the head measures circa 9 cm. The head is fitted with a small eyelet on top.
