      DESCRIPTION: Aoyama Masaharu (Japanese, 1893-1969). Woodblock print. Breaking Waves. Red seal at bottom right corner. Framed with gray fabric liner in black painted wooden frame. Also known as Seiji Aoyama, Masaharu was born in Saitama prefecture and studied traditional Japanese ink painting at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts. He worked as a painter and printmaker. MEASUREMENTS: 10-1/2" x 14-1/2". Overall with frame 16-3/4" x 20-1/2". CONDITION: Darkening and yellowing to paper. Rubbing and losses to frame, particularly at corners and edges.
