Gerard Mas Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1976 -

Gerard Mas specializes in sculpture and stone carving. His art, both ironic and irreverent, combines past and future, reality and fiction, the transcendent and the comic, the anthropomorphic and the zoomorphic in an exceptional way, playing with different materials and textures. In his work, the Catalan artist poses uncomfortable coexistences of elements that belong to different worlds, thus breaking with established morphologies. Although his work has many aesthetic affinities with tradition, the anti-conformist attitude of decontextualization gives it a very personal stamp that does not go unnoticed by anyone.

Throughout his career as an artist, Mas has exhibited in various solo exhibitions, among which are: "Ofrenes i Vestigis", Museu de Montserrat, (2009); "Everything in its right Place" 3 Punts Galeria. Barcelona, Spain (2009); Galeria Pilar Riberaygua. Andorra (2017); "Brut Nature" Vila Casas Foundation. Barcelona (2016); "New Specimens" 3 Punts Galeria. Barcelona (2015); "Bustos i Bèsties" 3 Punts Galeria. Barcelona (2010), among others. He is currently represented in: Vila Casas Foundation. "Can Mario". Palafrugell, Girona, Spain; MEFIC Collection (Contemporary International Figurative Sculpture Museum) Murcia and The Arts and Artists Foundation. Barcelona,
