Martinuzzi, Napoleone (attrib. - Rare decorative handle vase (Murano 1892-1977 Venice) Design for Zecchin Martinuzzi, c. 1932. Fused ovoid body with short tubular neck on a round, slightly high arched foot, decorative handles rolled into volutes on the sides, the rim of the mouth with fused glass thread running around it. White underlaid, cream-colored smoked glass, handle and mouth black glass with melted gold flakes. H. 35.5 cm. - The manufactory was founded in 1932 by the sculptor Martinuzzi and the engineer Francesco Zecchin and was represented at the Biennale in 1932 and 1934. Although the manufactory had to close at the end of the 1930s, it had a great influence on the other glass manufacturers in Venice. // Martinuzzi, Napoleone (Attrib.) Seltene Zierhenkelvase (Murano 1892-1977 Venedig) Entwurf für Zecchin Martinuzzi, um 1932. Auf rundem, leicht hochgewölbtem Fuß aufgeschmolzener ovoider Korpus mit kurzem Röhrenhals, seitliche zu Voluten eingerollte Zierhenkel, der Mündungsrand mit umlaufend aufgeschmolzenem Glasfaden. Weiß unterfangenes, cremefarbenes Rauchglas, Henkel und Mündung schwarzes Glas mit eingeschmolzenen Goldflittern. H. 35,5 cm. - Die Manufaktur wurde 1932 vom Bildhauer Martinuzzi und dem Ingenieur Francesco Zecchin gegründet und war 1932 und 1934 auf der Biennale vertreten. Obwohl die Manufaktur bereits Ende der 30er Jahre wieder geschlossen werden musste hatte sie großen Einfluss auf die anderen Glasmanufakturen in Venedig.

On a round stand the spherical body with a funnel-shaped mouth, laterally fused, grooved decorative handles. Opaque green glass between layers of transparent clear glass, irregularly broken gold foil melts. H. 30 cm. - The manufacture was founded in 1932 by the sculptor Martinuzzi and the engineer Francesco Zecchin and was represented at the Biennale in 1932 and 1934. Although the manufactory had to be closed at the end of the 1930s, it had a great influence on the other glass manufactories in Venice. // Martinuzzi, Napoleone Seltene, große Zierhenkelvase (Murano 1892-1977 Venedig) Entwurf für Zecchin Martinuzzi, um 1932. Auf rundem Stand der kugelige Korpus mit trichterförmiger Mündung, seitlich angeschmolzene, gerillte Zierhenkel. Opak grünes Glas zwischen Schichten aus transparentem Klarglas, unregelmäßig gerissene Goldfolieneinschmelzungen.
