R Martinez innovated her award-winning style of pottery 34 years ago. As a member of the Tarahumara Indian Tribe, her one-of-a-kind pieces are all hand-made and free-hand painted inside and out. She takes a piece of earth and turns it into a work-of-art that reflects New Mexico's rich beauty and heritage. She has won many major awards for her art.
