Malerie Marder (American, b. 1971) American photographer and artist Malerie Marder was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and received her MFA from Yale University in 1999. Her work focuses on vivid black and white studies of nudes fraught with psychological and sexual themes. Marder almost exclusively shoots female nudes. The diptychon was edited by Edition Schellmann Munich/New York in 45 copies. Condition: The Light Jet prints are in very good condition. The image size is 43.5 x 56 cm, the sizes of the Plexiglas are 50 x 60.5 cm. Marder's artistic focus lays on the exploration of nude intimacy, mostly based on female models she finds among her friends and family members. Today, her works belong to numerous permanent collections such as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne and the National Gallery of Art in Washington. The artist lives and works in Los Angeles.
