A landscape painter connected to membership in The Connecticut Association of Fine Artists, member of the Lotus Club. Exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts between the decades 1910-20s. Studied with Charles Davis and Henry Ward Ranger as well as abroad in France. His paintings can be described as Tonalist in style showing also strong influences from Impressionist and Post Impressionist French landscape traditions. The Treadway Gallery auctioned two landscape oil paintings on canvas both dated 1910 by Peter Marcus.
