        Bildnis des Johann Adam Klein. Radierung auf Velin. 18,6 x 13,2 cm. 1815. Heller-Andresen 4. Das feinsinnig beobachtete und delikat ausgeführte Bildnis des jüngeren Künstlerkollegen Klein im Alter von 23 Jahren ist selten und entstand im gleichen Jahr, in dem Mansfeld seine Wiener Druckerei eröffnete. Das kleine Porträt, das Mansfeld seinem Freund Klein "zum Andenken" widmete, ist in einer minuziösen und technisch anspruchsvollen Radiertechnik ausgeführt, die nicht nur graphisch sehr anziehend wirkt, sondern auch eine subtile tonale Wirkung entfaltet. Ganz ausgezeichnter Druck mit breitem Rand. Insgesamt etwas angestaubt und leicht fleckig, sonst vorzüglich. Beigegeben zwei weitere Bildnisse des Johann Adam Klein: von Daniel Burgdorfer "Bildnis J. A. Klein mit Zeichenbuch, im Alter von 27 Jahren" (Lithographie auf Velin) und Paul Barfus "Bild von J. A. Klein im Alter von 67 Jahren" (Radierung auf gewalztem China, 1859, aus der Sammlung August Spatzier, Lugt 2304). - Wir bitten darum, Zustandsberichte zu den Losen zu erfragen, da der Erhaltungszustand nur in Ausnahmefällen im Katalog angegeben ist. - Please ask for condition reports for individual lots, as the condition is usually not mentioned in the catalogue.
