      New York, Massachusetts,1921-2005 Impressionistic depiction of a harbor town and docks illuminated by early morning light. Mann was introduced to drawing and painting at the Detroit Institute of Art at a young age, encouraged by his parents and teachers. However, as WWII broke out, Mann volunteered and ended up going into engineering. After the war, Mann went back to painting, joining the Rocky Neck Art Colony and opening the Ward Mann Gallery in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
