These are three of the characteristic nude photographs by the French photographer Julien Mandel from the 1920s. Depicted are three different sceneries of female nudes, set in oriental-tinted interiors. Dimly blurring contours and shades in light brown are the characteristics that define his recognition. The photographs of the Parisian photographer soon became much sought-after collector’s items. The three photographs are each inscribed in the negative ‘Studio J. Mandel Paris’ and numbered ‘ED A.N. Paris 6, 11 und 15’. They are each mounted in the original portfolios by Studio J. Mandel Paris. The three photographs are in very good condition, they are slightly tarnished due to age. The depictions measure each 16.9 x 21.8 cm and the dimensions of the sheets are 17.6 x 22.8 cm. The dimensions of the portfolios are each 21 x 27 cm.
