The present upsurge of fairy lore indicates an archetypal fascination with the world depicting the enchanting frolics of gnomes, fairies, witches and the rest of the elfin world. Peg's contribution to this genre cannot be lightly dismissed, and she continues to climb in popularity, rarely seen at auction.

Colour frontispiece and 14 colour plates and sepia margin drawings on every text page. Hardback. Beige boards decorated and lettered in sepia, foxed, edges rubbed and corners bumped, top corners slightly cracked, red cloth spine is a bit faded and rubbed, text printed in sepia, light foredge foxing, lower page edges slightly finger creased and several pages have a short tear. Still very good copy. Large folio size.
